No two days are the same at our client’s. Each season brings a different atmosphere, which makes the work varied and lively. You will get to know a wide range of products – from DIY and gardening items to decorations and pet supplies – and have a lot of contact with customers.
Throughout the year, the shop changes with the seasons: from atmospheric themed displays to festive periods when it is extra busy and lively. This creates a dynamic working environment in which you can develop yourself and constantly gain new experiences. Together with your colleagues, you will continuously work on improvements, with the aim of providing the best possible customer experience and a pleasant working experience for employees.
Function
Your daily tasks (work in the shop):
Scanning products correctly and helping customers with checkout/returns.
Checking prices/offers and receipts; resolving discrepancies politely.
Keeping track of the cash register, counting change and recording cash transactions according to procedure.
Answering customer questions and referring them to the appropriate colleague/department.
Ensuring a tidy checkout area; replenishing bag and receipt rolls.
Helping out on the shop floor where necessary (replenishing/cleaning and tidying).
Requirements
Own accommodation
Own transport
Language level: Good command of Dutch
Experience level: Junior
Special skills: Customer-friendly, communicative and service-oriented; you are willing to go the extra mile.
Certificates or other requirements: You are 16 years or older and available on Saturdays.
Offer
Gross hourly wage from €14.77 (21+)
Youth wage negotiable
Working hours: 08:30 – 18:00
Mileage allowance €0.23 per km
